Terms of Service for Mara

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Mara application ("Mara"), offered by Compiler Inc. ("Compiler," "we," "our," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Mara.

2. Purpose of Mara

Mara is a voice-first service that helps you manage email, calendar events, and related tasks through natural speech. Mara interprets your commands and the information you choose to connect (e.g., LinkedIn profile, email accounts, contacts, calendars, Slack workspace) in order to surface important messages, draft replies, schedule meetings, and relay summaries. Mara does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.

3. User Eligibility & Conduct

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Mara. Users under 18 need parent or guardian consent. You agree to provide accurate information and use Mara only for lawful, personal purposes. You will not misuse, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service.

4. Data Privacy

Information you supply—such as email content, voice commands, contact details, and usage metrics—is encrypted in transit and at rest. Data is processed solely to deliver core features, remember context across sessions, and maintain reliability. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers. Prompts are securely relayed to OpenAI for AI inference; OpenAI deletes the data within 30 days and does not use it to train public models. You may request deletion at any time. 5. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, code, text, and other content within Mara are the property of Compiler Inc. or its licensors. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

6. Subscription & Fees

If Mara offers paid plans, all pricing, billing cycles, refund policies, and cancellation procedures will be disclosed at purchase. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

7. Disclaimers

Mara is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind. Responses generated by large-language models may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying important information before acting on it.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Compiler Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of Mara.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Compiler Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims or demands arising out of your use of Mara or violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications to Service & Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Mara—or these Terms—at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or harmful activity. Upon termination, your license to use Mara ends immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in San Francisco County, California.
